QV (Quality Vet)
Quality Vet was a Mexican producer of anabolic steroids, supposedly made for veterinary market but in fact clearly profiting from its popularity on the US steroid black market. In Europe, QV is practically unknown. Despite making several precautions including the holograms on their pill-boxes the company had a very serious problem with counterfeits. Most fakes were packed in boxes with original holograms stolen at the QV production line. This makes counterfeits of QV products harder to distinguish from the originals than counterfeits of other producers. The company (along several others) was a victim of the DEA operation Gear Grinder in 2005.
